Leaving their familiar classrooms, 3rd grade HASians had an inspiring day of learning on an outdoor experiential journey with the theme “Unleashing Creativity – Painting the Future.” This was not just a field trip, but also an opportunity for students to touch art, listen to cultural stories, and freely express their imagination.

At the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, HASians explored historical and artistic values through artifacts and vivid stories. Each exhibition corner opened up a new world, sparking curiosity and helping students understand that art is not just found on the pages of books but is vividly present in the life and culture of the nation.

Continuing their journey, HASians enthusiastically participated in an experience of painting fish on ash wood. Using simple, environmentally friendly materials, each innocent yet creative brushstroke resulted in artworks bearing a strong personal touch. This activity helped the children improve their concentration, appreciate natural materials, and express their emotions through painting.

A special highlight of the journey was the experience of printing Hang Trong paintings – a traditional Vietnamese folk art form. Under dedicated guidance, students learned about the printing process, the meaning of the patterns, and created their own artwork. Through this, they learned to appreciate cultural heritage and felt even more proud of the folk art of the Vietnamese people.

“Unleashing Creativity – Painting the Future” concluded with radiant smiles and colorful artworks. Through this experience, HASians were inspired to unleash their creative thinking and cultivate a love for art from small and familiar things.
