School Bus Service

The school bus service is a paid, optional service provided based on the needs of parents and students, and the operational capacity of Hanoi Adelaide School.

1. Pick-Up and Drop-Off Options

– The school offers two types of transportation services: Home Pick-Up and Designated Stop Pick-Up. Parents may register for one-way or two-way bus service, depending on their preference and the selected pick-up method.

– Each bus is staffed by one driver and one bus monitor, who are responsible for ensuring students’ safety, punctual pick-up/drop-off, and maintaining clear communication between families and the school during transit.

– To foster students’ independence and punctuality, the school encourages families to consider the Designated Stop Pick-Up option.

2. Designated Stops and Route Development

– Each campus publishes an annual list of fixed bus stops, which is subject to updates based on real-time needs. Drop-off points may be located opposite the pick-up location, depending on the traffic flow and route logistics.

– If five or more students request the same pick-up/drop-off location that is at least 1 km away from the nearest existing stop on the same route, and the location fits into the bus routing plan, the school will consider establishing a new designated stop.

3. Home Pick-Up Policy

– Requests for individual or off-route pick-up locations not included in the official stop list will be classified as Home Pick-Up.

– For residential addresses located in alleys, narrow streets, or areas inaccessible or unsafe for 16-seater or larger buses, the school will assign the nearest appropriate location that allows for safe pick-up/drop-off and smooth traffic flow.

– For students residing in apartment buildings, pick-up and drop-off will be at the main entrance of the building.

4. Service Usage Guidelines

– Parents and students must agree to and comply with the “Safety and Hygiene Regulations for Using the School Bus Service.”

• The school reserves the right to decline service in the following cases:
  + Parents fail to complete bus service registration and/or payment at least 3 working days before the start date.
  + The number of registered students is too low or logistically dispersed, making it unfeasible to establish a viable route.
  + The relevant bus route is fully booked and cannot accommodate additional students.
  + The requested pick-up location is 20 km or more from the school.
