In a series of learning projects leading up to International Happiness Day, Hanoi Adelaide School students not only learned about the concept of “happiness” through books, but also experienced it firsthand to understand themselves: what they feel, what they need, and how they want to express it.

A highly emotional activity, brought by artists from the Youth Theatre and the CNA Musical Theatre Club, created a special space where students connected with art and their own inner world.

Through the journey of “Rapunzel,” HASIANS focused on the story and characters, seeing themselves in it: the dreams they wanted to pursue, the fears they needed to overcome, and the yearning to be loved and to be themselves. Musical theater – therefore, is not simply a performance, but a way for students to understand that their feelings are always worth listening to and valuing.

The special feature of the program lies in its close interaction. HASians had the opportunity to directly converse with the artists, ask questions about role-playing, emotional expression, and even behind-the-scenes stories. Many HASians boldly expressed their thoughts and feelings after the interaction. Some found empathy, some were inspired to try their hand at art, and others simply felt happy and comfortable immersing themselves in the artistic space.

This musical theater activity is not only a highlight in the series of projects for International Happiness Day, but also a way for Hanoi Adelaide School to listen more to its students, creating opportunities and spaces for them to express themselves, connect, and find joy in their journey of growth.
