Not every learning journey begins with outstanding achievements. For Nguyen Minh Tue (Class 9A1), the middle school years have been a process of gradually understanding her own abilities and steadily improving through a well-oriented learning path.
Understanding one’s abilities to build a learning pathway

During her learning journey, Nguyen Minh Tue did not choose to participate in every opportunity right away. At certain times, when her knowledge foundation was not yet strong enough, she and her teachers decided to spend more time strengthening it.
“There was a time when I really wanted to try a competition, but after attempting a practice test and discussing it with my teachers, I decided to wait until my knowledge was more solid,” Tue shared. “At first I felt a little disappointed, but later I realized I was much more prepared.”
Choosing the right moment to take on challenges helped her develop her abilities step by step without creating unnecessary pressure during the learning process.
Achievements along the learning journey
Her persistence and thoughtful study approach have led Minh Tue to several notable achievements, including:
-
Third Prize – National Round, Internet Olympiad of English (IOE) (2025–2026)
-
Third Prize – Grade 8 English, District Young Talent Olympiad (2024–2025)
-
Encouragement Prize – Ward-Level Excellent Student Competition in English, Kim Lien Ward (2025–2026)
-
Recognition for Learning and Conduct Improvement – February 2026
For Minh Tue, each achievement is not the final destination but a milestone for continued growth and self-improvement.
“After each competition, I usually reflect on my work to learn from it for the next time. I think the most important thing is understanding where I’ve improved and what I still need to work on.”
When every student has their own pathway
Tue’s story reflects an important idea in education: each student progresses at their own pace. By understanding her strengths, building a clear learning pathway, and maintaining the habit of reflection, Minh Tue has been able to move forward with steady and meaningful progress.

Nguyen Minh Tue’s journey also reflects how Hanoi Adelaide School implements a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) for each student.
Based on assessments of each student’s abilities and goals, teachers at H.A.S design individual learning plans with regular evaluation milestones, detailed feedback, and adjustments aligned with the student’s progress.
Instead of applying a single standard model, the school focuses on developing each student’s strengths while strengthening areas that need improvement at their own pace. The combination of self-study, continuous feedback, and supportive learning strategies helps students gradually unlock their full potential.
| Through the “Pathway to Success” series, Hanoi Adelaide School introduces students’ learning journeys as they discover study methods that work best for them. Each story reflects a process of growth — from identifying strengths and areas for improvement to building a clear, personalized learning pathway. |
