Some beginnings are marked by the very first steps taken within a new school. Yet, other beginnings unfold from something far simpler: the moment each person starts to believe that their actions can create something truly meaningful.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, H.A.S and its students embark on a journey themed “Celebrating Impact – Creating Value through Action.” Here, “Impact” is not something grand or distant; rather, it stems from the thoughts, emotions, and determination of each individual student. It might be the confidence to ask a question, the initiative to tackle a task, or simply an act of kindness toward another person.
This journey became even more special as H.A.S welcomed new members to the community—students entering Grades 1 and 6. Those first steps into the new school marked not only the start of an academic year but also the beginning of a path for these students to discover themselves, make proactive choices, and gradually leave their own unique mark.
From the moment the entire school stood to welcome the new students, to the opening remarks shared by Grade 1 and Grade 6 representatives; from the resounding beat of the opening drum signaling the start of the new year, to the heartfelt wishes from teachers and messages from various classes—everything came together to convey a single, powerful message: Value is not merely spoken of; it is created through action.
Every HASian will continue to create their own “Impact” through every academic choice, every interaction with peers, teachers, and the community, and every instance of daring to try, to change, and to take responsibility for their actions. When positive action begins with the individual, those values spread—from the classroom to the community, and from H.A.S to the world.
The new school year has officially begun. Welcome, HASians, to the 2026–2027 academic year—a journey not only of learning and personal growth but also of creating positive impact together through our own actions.
