Each year, at Government House – the official residence of the Governor of South Australia – the Outstanding Achievement Awards Ceremony is held to honor the highest-achieving students across the state of South Australia. Established in 1989, this prestigious event is more than a celebration; it represents the highest level of recognition for exceptional academic performance in the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), where top-performing students are honored in a formal and distinguished setting.
This year, that pride belongs to Hanoi Adelaide School as student Vu Thanh Vinh became the only representative from Vietnam invited to attend this distinguished ceremony, thanks to his outstanding achievement in Mathematics. From Hanoi to South Australia, his journey stands as a testament to the determination, intellect, and perseverance of a HASian on the global academic stage.

Vinh’s remarkable achievements include:
- ATAR 94.85 – placing him in the Top 5% among more than 17,000 SACE graduates in Australia and worldwide in 2025.
- A+ (Merit) and the highest achievement in Mathematical Methods in Vietnam.
- Overall Band A in English, Research Project, Business Innovation, and Economics.

Vinh’s presence at Government House is not only a personal milestone but also a powerful affirmation of the quality of the SACE program at Hanoi Adelaide School. Over the years, students in the Dual Degree Program (Global System) at H.A.S have consistently achieved outstanding results, earned Merits across multiple subjects, and gained admission to prestigious universities both in Vietnam and internationally.

Vinh’s participation in the South Australia awards ceremony marks a memorable milestone — a source of pride not only for him personally, but for the entire H.A.S community. Congratulations to Vu Thanh Vinh — a pride of Hanoi Adelaide School and of Vietnam on the global education map!
