Some springs don’t come from the colors of flowers or the joyful laughter, but begin with the eager opening of books. At the Hanoi Adelaide School library in Duong Noi, the “Tet Book Package: Open it and you’ll see Tet!” journey provided students with an experiential space rich in cultural identity – where each activity is a bridge connecting with love, allowing the children to fully feel the message “Tet in many regions – Connecting with love.”

The journey of discovery began with familiar yet novel books: from folk tales and legends of Tet to children’s poems and the beauty of Vietnamese customs. Through books like “Telling the Story of Tet,” “Hello Tet!”, “The Legend of Peach Blossoms and Apricot Blossoms,” “Vietnamese Customs,” “Festivals and Holidays,” etc., HASians gained a deeper understanding of the origins and meaning of the traditional Tet holiday, and realized that each region and country has its own unique spring customs and meanings.

Next, they immersed themselves in the lively atmosphere of the “Ringing the Golden Bell” minigame, where interesting questions about Tet transformed the library into a learning playground filled with laughter. Each correct answer multiplied the joy, and each new question revealed more surprises about Tet culture in Vietnam and other countries in the region.

The journey continued at the “Tet Book Package” experience station, where HASians chose at least 5 out of 10 colorful activity packages. Some were captivated by the fairytale world of Tet, others explored Tet past and present through the books, and groups of friends solved crossword puzzles and learned about the mascot of the new year. In another corner, folk paintings are vividly colored, handcrafted red envelopes are created, and calligraphy is meticulously colored. The atmosphere is further enlivened by folk games, activities such as arranging traditional New Year’s feasts, and making models of the New Year’s mascot – each experience contributing to a vibrant spring scene.

The “Tet Book Package” is not just a simple reading or fun activity, but also a journey for students to understand and appreciate traditional cultural values. From the pages of books, the children have found joy in these experiences, so that each spring leaves warm and loving memories in the hearts of HASians.

We hope that the seeds of culture sown through the “Tet Book Package” will continue to grow in the hearts of each student, so that when Tet comes, they will not only remember the joy of family reunion but also be proud of the traditional values that have been cherished and spread.
