On September 12, 2025, HASians K12 participated in the experiential program “What it’s like to be an R student for a day” at RMIT University Hanoi. This was the first career orientation activity of the 2025–2026 school year, offering students the opportunity to explore the international university environment through authentic and vibrant experiences.
Experiencing “A Day as an RMIT Student”

Upon arriving at RMIT University, HASians were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic student volunteers. Their openness and friendliness gave our students a clear sense of the youthful, creative, and professional spirit of the campus.

Within the program, H.A.S students had the chance to join a wide range of typical RMIT student activities:
Specialized classes: Students directly experienced lessons in the fields of Communication, Management, Information Technology, and IELTS Speaking. These sessions were not only an introduction to academic knowledge but also an opportunity to learn from the real-life experiences of current RMIT students.
Extracurricular activities: HASians explored the RMIT campus, took part in an interactive treasure-hunt game about the university, and received exciting prizes. These activities not only created a lively and engaging atmosphere but also helped students develop skills in analysis, synthesis, presentation, and teamwork.

The day concluded with photo sessions alongside RMIT student ambassadors, capturing memorable moments of the HASians’ journey as “RMIT students for a day.”
Career Orientation from the School Bench
As they enter their final school year, Grade 12 students face many important decisions: choosing majors, career paths, and their future direction. Real-world experiences from the program not only provided them with a vivid picture of university life but also gave them the chance to reflect and compare with their own strengths, interests, and goals.

After the activity, each HASian was encouraged to complete a reflection form and an experiential learning task. This was a crucial step for students to:
-
Systematize the knowledge and experiences gained during the day.
-
Clarify their future career orientation.
-
Cultivate initiative, self-discipline, and responsibility in their learning journey.
H.A.S Accompanies Students in Opening Doors to the Future
The “A Day as an R Student” program was more than just a campus tour; it formed a key link in the annual career orientation series at Hanoi Adelaide School. Through this activity, the school aims to offer students real-world experiences, expose them to diverse career paths, and equip them with study and life skills akin to those of university students.
These experiences allow HASians to broaden their perspectives on international education environments, while nurturing confidence and self-direction—essential foundations for stepping firmly into the future.
