Quiet, Reserved, Camera-Shy, and Not One to Brag – Vinh Is the Perfect Example of a “Lowkey” Student. But behind that calm demeanor is a serious academic journey: IELTS 8.0, SAT 1510 on his first try, a Math mentor in the Vietnamese–Australian Dual Program at H.A.S, and an English tutor at Khan Academy.
H.A.S – His Second Home Since Grade 6

Vinh’s mother guided him to enroll at H.A.S from Grade 6, and he has been happy with the decision ever since. “I feel that the learning environment here is very comfortable. Teachers are always patient and care about us. The campus is full of trees – spacious and cool. And my friends are all friendly and kind,” Vinh shared.
Vinh’s Study Method at H.A.S
Unlike what people often imagine about “model students” constantly buried in books or practicing test after test, Vinh takes a light and steady approach to learning every day. Especially in the Vietnamese–Australian Dual Program, students are assessed continuously, allowing them to build academic ability, thinking skills, and language naturally, with reduced exam pressure.
For students like Vinh, this is a major advantage when preparing for standardized tests.
He hasn’t decided on a specific university yet, but with a deep passion for Math and consistently high scores in the subject, Vinh is considering majors such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science – fields that demand the highest levels of quantitative skills.
“I chose Math because I enjoy it – and because it’s the foundation of the field I want to pursue.”
Vinh particularly enjoys the Mathematical Methods subject in the SACE program – both for his love of Math and to prepare for the academic path he’s interested in. He always carries a Math book in his bag, and whenever he feels “down,” he solves Math problems to feel better.
The Vietnamese–Australian Dual Program at H.A.S – A Place that Respects Passion and Personal Direction
The Dual Program is ideal for students with strong interests and clear goals. It offers the conditions for learners to grow their competencies while following a learning path that suits their personal passions and plans.
The SACE diploma is globally recognized, opening doors to universities both in Vietnam and abroad. At the same time, it helps students develop holistically – in language, academics, research skills, and future career orientation.
Thank you, Vinh and your family, for growing together with H.A.S.
We wish you all the best as you continue to maintain your “lowkey but not low-tech” energy, and soon find the right university destination!
