Hanoi Adelaide School welcomes a delegation from The South Australian Department of Education

11:13 - 01/10/2025

Recently, Hanoi Adelaide School was honored to welcome a delegation from the South Australian Department of Education to visit and share with the School. At the seminar, the leaders of Hanoi Adelaide School and the delegation from the South Australian Department of Education discussed the curriculum and educational methods that both sides are implementing, as well as shared more about Supporting the Management of Students’ Emotions and Behaviors.

Beginning of the program, Ms. Pham Thi Cuc Ha – a member of the H.A.S Inter-level School Council, introduced an overview of the learning environment and educational program at the School. In addition, the strengths and challenges in implementing the SACE program at H.A.S were openly shared, helping both sides gain more insight into how to organize teaching and learning and support students in the context of integrated education.

A special point in the discussion was the sharing of Support for Student Emotional and Behavior Management. At H.A.S, mental health is always a top priority through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This system includes observation, prevention, organization of SEL activities and whole-school experiences, to small group support and individual intervention when necessary. Thanks to that, students are closely monitored, receiving timely support from teachers, schools and experts to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.

At the same time, representatives of the South Australian Department of Education also shared practical experiences in discipline and support for students’ mental health. Accordingly, the development of disciplinary rules needs to be accompanied by active support methods, aiming to help students self-awareness and adjust their behavior. Teachers at H.A.S had the opportunity to listen and discuss directly, thereby learning how to balance disciplinary requirements and understanding student psychology – an increasingly important factor in modern education.

The discussion ended with many emotions, as well as opening a journey of closer cooperation between Hanoi Adelaide School and the South Australian Department of Education. Not only stopping at professional exchanges, this is also a connection of vision and values: a student-centered educational philosophy, accompanying children to stand firm in the face of a volatile world. H.A.S believes that, with that companionship and support, each student will grow up happily and become brave, compassionate and capable global citizens.
