Hanoi Adelaide School (H.A.S) formally held the ceremony to receive the OIC School certification from Oxford University Press. This milestone marks a strategic step in the School’s journey to standardize its bilingual education program in alignment with global educational standards.

A significant milestone in international educational collaboration
On the morning of March 13, 2026, at the Geleximco campus (Duong Noi, Hanoi), the Leadership Team and Academic Council of Hanoi Adelaide School held an official working session with senior representatives from Oxford University Press. During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on the implementation roadmap, teaching methodologies, and teacher training strategies to optimize the effectiveness of the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC) framework in Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Silvia Yafai, Senior Academic Team Lead at Oxford University Press, stated:
“Thank you to Hanoi Adelaide School for the warm welcome today. I am truly impressed by the vibrant atmosphere of the school, the quality of its facilities, and especially the confidence of the students—the way they collaborate and interact while guiding us on the school tour. I was also particularly impressed by the Makerspace, where students are encouraged to be creative and solve problems in their learning. It has been a wonderful experience to meet the students as well as the school leadership team.
The message I would like to share with educators is that your role is incredibly important—perhaps even decisive—in today’s world. With the rapid advancement of technology, artificial intelligence, geopolitical changes, and more, the way teachers educate students will shape how well they are prepared for the future. The role of teachers is becoming increasingly significant. I believe educators must remain curious, continuously develop themselves, and commit to lifelong learning in order to enhance their skills.
Teachers will accompany students on their journey, supporting them in developing essential skills such as logical thinking, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, as well as the ability to effectively use AI and other tools—while also ensuring students’ emotional well-being and mental health. I am truly delighted to be part of this journey alongside you.”
OIC – Advancing academic excellence and global mindsets
The OIC School certification affirms that Hanoi Adelaide School meets the requirements to deliver the Oxford International Curriculum framework. This program focuses on supporting students’ overall development through:
- English as a core language: Students use English to explore other subjects, enabling the simultaneous development of language proficiency and academic skills.
- Interdisciplinary and practical learning: Encouraging students to connect knowledge across disciplines, developing problem-solving skills in multicultural contexts.
- Self-directed learning: The learning pathway is designed to stimulate students’ curiosity and foster independent learning.

“I believe this event is highly significant for students, teachers, and parents, as it reflects the school’s commitment to developing its academic programmes—particularly in English as a second language, as well as bilingual and dual-degree pathways.
It is truly a pleasure that we have spent the past year working together to integrate the Oxford International Curriculum with Hanoi Adelaide School’s existing programme. I am confident that Hanoi Adelaide School will implement this programme in a structured and effective manner in the upcoming academic year.” – Ms. Pham Thi Cuc Ha, Member of the School Board of Hanoi Adelaide School, shared.
Implementation roadmap at Hanoi Adelaide School
According to the plan, the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC) will be officially introduced at Hanoi Adelaide School starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, for students from Grade 1 to Grade 9.
In the initial phase, the School will focus on integrating OIC content into subjects taught in English, alongside sending its teaching staff to participate in in-depth training programmes led directly by experts from Oxford University Press. This approach ensures a consistent and high-quality implementation that is well aligned with the learning context of Vietnamese students.
Notably, H.A.S students will have direct access to a 100% licensed learning ecosystem from Oxford University Press. This not only ensures up-to-date and well-structured knowledge, but also enables students to fully benefit from digital resources, standardized assessment tools, and advanced pedagogical approaches developed in the United Kingdom.
The attainment of the OIC School certification is not only a source of pride for the H.A.S community, but also a strong commitment to educational quality—aiming to nurture generations of students who are capable, confident, and equipped with a global mindset.
