At primary school age, as children begin to explore the world more independently, the need to understand personal safety and how to protect themselves becomes especially important. Understanding this, Hanoi Adelaide School’s Duong Noi campus organized the “Be Aware and Protect Yourself” workshop, providing HASians with the opportunity to access practical knowledge and essential skills, under the direct guidance of the Duong Noi Ward Police.

In the context of increasingly sophisticated scams and kidnappings, the workshop not only provided practical knowledge but also helped students develop reflexes and skills to handle situations safely and appropriately for their age.
At the workshop, HASians had the opportunity to access knowledge through relatable stories and situations, gaining a better understanding of the current state of fraud and kidnapping. From this, the students gradually recognized potential dangers and understood why they could become targets if they lacked vigilance. Simultaneously, important principles for self-protection were naturally integrated into each sharing session: from how to behave when encountering strangers to how to remain calm in unexpected situations.

The program’s atmosphere became even more lively and engaging thanks to the interactive Q&A session between police officers and HASians. The students’ innocent yet practical questions were answered thoroughly, helping them naturally retain the knowledge and creating a skills-building session that was both beneficial and exciting.

“Be Aware and Protect Yourself” is not just a skills training session, but also an important tool to help HASians become more confident, assertive, and proactive in unexpected situations in life.
