April Library Activities at Hanoi Adelaide School, Duong Noi Campus

09:35 - 21/04/2026

What makes a book memorable? Is it the captivating story, the interesting characters, or the feeling of “seeing yourself in it”? For HASians, the answer lies not only in each page, but also in how students explore, experience, and connect with reading in their own unique way.

In response to meaningful events in April such as International Children’s Book Day, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, Earth Day, and World Book and Copyright Day, Hanoi Adelaide School offers students a different approach: not just reading books, but understanding and appreciating what lies behind each book.

Through these close and visual experiences, students gradually realize that each book is not just words, but the culmination of creativity and hard work. And from there, a love for reading is naturally sparked, starting from very small connections, but enough to form a big habit. HASians also learn how to stay with books longer through specific skills and age-appropriate approaches. From knowing how to take care of each page to making reading a part of daily life, each student is gradually forming a lasting “relationship” with knowledge.

And then, from reading, HASians begin to create products with their own unique touch. Bookmarks carrying a story, “reading cards” as a commitment to read more, or small, beautiful minibooks to enhance the beauty of books. All of these are ways students tell their own stories after turning the pages of a book. Especially when those stories are connected to the environment and the Earth, reading transcends the personal realm and becomes an action with meaning for the community.

Hanoi Adelaide School not only encourages students to read more, but more importantly, to read more deeply, to understand better, and to appreciate the value behind each book. Because ultimately, what remains is how each HASian views the world more broadly and responsibly, starting from the simple pages of a book.
