With an ATAR of 81.45, Nguyen Xuan Hieu (Class 12S2) has completed his academic journey in the Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SACE) program at Hanoi Adelaide School with a result that makes his teachers and the school extremely proud – not only for the score itself, but for the resilient and determined journey of growth behind it.

Outstanding achievements:
- ATAR: 81.45 – ranking in the Top 19% among 17,000 SACE graduates in Australia and worldwide in 2025
- A+ in Media Studies
- Overall Band A in Business Innovation and Research Project
Few people know that in his first year of studying SACE, Hieu’s performance was only at an average–good level, with no subject truly standing out or reaching an A grade as he had hoped. Instead of feeling discouraged, he chose to face his weaknesses directly, adjust his learning methods, and persistently improve day by day.
His efforts were eventually rewarded with an A+ in Media Studies and remarkable progress recognized by his teachers in subjects such as Research Project and Media Studies.
From this solid academic foundation, Xuan Hieu has successfully received several valuable scholarships from prestigious universities in Australia:
- Macquarie University – Bachelor of Commerce – AUD 10,000/year scholarship
- Deakin University – Bachelor of Commerce – 25% tuition scholarship
- The University of Sydney – Bachelor of Arts – 20% tuition scholarship
These scholarship offers are not only a reward for his personal efforts, but also clear proof of the academic capability and international competitiveness of a HASian nurtured through the SACE program.
Accompanying students is the Dual Diploma pathway, which enables them to:
- Graduate with two high school diplomas (Vietnam & South Australia)
- Obtain a globally recognized ATAR, expanding opportunities for scholarships and admission to top universities in Australia and worldwide
- Build strong academic thinking and essential competencies of global citizens
Congratulations to Xuan Hieu – a journey filled with inner strength and a result that truly brings joy and pride to his teachers, family, and H.A.S. With this spirit, he is sure to go even further on the road ahead.
