Every child’s journey to maturity begins with small, yet meaningful, changes. With the message “Be yourself, but always your better self,” Hanoi Adelaide School brought a new and exciting “Surplus Fair” activity to its primary school students.

Throughout their studies, children accumulate reward points by performing actions that contribute to the image of “self-reliance,” “independence,” and “responsibility.” Each small action, from conscientiously completing homework and maintaining a clean learning environment to supporting friends, is a solid step on the path to self-improvement.

The children were delighted to personally choose their favorite items at the “Surplus Fair,” a result of their own efforts throughout their studies. Through this event, HASians were able to experience shopping for themselves, making their own decisions and considering their spending on items they loved. The joy of choosing a favorite item through their own efforts will surely be an unforgettable memory, while also providing a practical lesson about the value of hard work.
