Literature is not confined to the pages of books; therefore, 10th-grade HASians had a special learning experience when they entered the heritage space – where literature is “touched” through sight, emotion, and genuine experiences. The experiential activity, themed “Touching Literature – Connecting Heritage,” opened a journey connecting knowledge, history, and national cultural identity.

At the Vietnam Literature Museum, 10th-grade HASians listened to stories about the stages of literary development, accessed valuable artifacts and documents, and gained a deeper understanding of the creative journey of generations of writers and poets. Each exhibition corner was a slice of history, making literature more accessible and vibrant than ever before.

In addition, students had the opportunity to get closer to the portrait of writer Tô Hoài – a great figure of modern Vietnamese literature – through the film “Writer Tô Hoài.” Through each scene, students not only gained a deeper understanding of the writer’s life and career but also clearly felt the serious and persistent artistic spirit behind the familiar works on the pages of books.

Even more special, the activity of printing calligraphy on traditional Dó paper provided HASians with a unique experience, where each stroke of the pen was a moment to reflect on the core values of a writer: having both heart and talent.

The outdoor area with the Garden of Sculptures of 20 literary figures such as Lê Thánh Tông, Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, Hồ Xuân Hương… along with a system of folk literature reliefs was also an impressive space for students to learn more about the great figures of national literature, feeling the depth of heritage through both space and time.
“Touching Literature – Connecting Heritage” is an opportunity for 10th-grade HASians to nurture their love of literature, cultivate cultural pride, and form a deeper perspective on the responsibility of preserving and continuing the heritage values of the nation.
